Howth and Sutton Horticultural Society Health and Safety Statement

Howth and Sutton Horticultural Society is a membership organisation run by a volunteer committee, which does not employ any staff. We have a commitment to achieving high standards of safety and health for our members, guests and visitors.
We run regular lectures, garden visits and 2 annual shows, attended by our members and visitors.
Tools or chemicals are not used and precautions are taken for manual handling at our annual shows, including the use of wheelbarrows and trolleys to move plants. Members taking part in organised garden visits are advised to wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
Lectures are held in local hotels and clubs, which have access for those with disabilities, and staff trained in first aid and fire precautions.
Adequate lighting is provided, and handrails are installed on stairs.
Howth and Sutton Horticultural Society is insured by EventInsure Dublin, underwritten by Brady Insurance, Dublin D15 K6WR, valid until 03/05/2025
